A full Point of Sale system for a Finnish company. Admin dashboard, client portal, and vendor iPad app, all designed in three months.
Numu needed a POS system with three separate surfaces: a backoffice for super admins, a portal for clients, and a mobile app for vendors on the ground. Three user types, three devices, three sets of priorities. I joined the team as the sole design consultant.
Before designing a single screen, we mapped out how data flows between the three surfaces. An admin creates a configuration, a client customizes it, a vendor executes it. Understanding that chain is what shaped the entire information architecture.
We built a shared component library so all three surfaces feel like the same product. Same card layouts, same status indicators, same interaction patterns, just adapted for different screen sizes and use cases.
The vendor app got the most attention when it came to speed. Vendors are working on their feet, usually in a rush, sometimes in bad lighting. Every screen had to answer one question at a time and get out of the way.
We delivered a complete design system and all three surfaces in three months, working remotely from Nepal for a client in Finland. The designs went into development without a revision cycle because the shared system made everything consistent from day one.
