I'm Manish. I design digital products for a living and I've been at it for over a decade. I live in Lalitpur, Nepal and work with teams all over the world.
I studied Computer Science at Kathmandu University, which means I can talk to developers without a translator. That background shows up in everything I design. I think about what's buildable, not just what looks good in Figma.
Most of my work has been in ed-tech, where I've designed for products used by students, teachers, parents, and school leaders all at once. Different people, different needs, same product. That kind of complexity is what I enjoy most.
In 2025, I co-founded Jungle Tech, a small studio where I get to do everything I care about: strategy, design, building, and talking to the people who'll actually use what we make.
Experience
Co-founder & CEO · Nov 2025 — Present
Patan, Nepal
Started a product and design studio with a focus on building real things for real people. I wear most of the hats here: product strategy, design, client work, and the occasional technical decision.
Product Designer · Jan 2020 — Dec 2025
Kathmandu, Nepal
Six years deep in ed-tech. Designed mySecondTeacher from the ground up across web, mobile, and smart TV. Also led the design team, ran reviews, and wrote the documentation nobody wanted to but everyone needed.
UI/UX Design Consultant · Aug — Oct 2025
Turku, Finland · Remote
Brought in as the only designer to build a full POS system: admin dashboard, client portal, and a vendor iPad app. Three months, three surfaces, one design system. Remote from Nepal.
Frontend Designer & Developer · Dec 2018 — Jan 2020
Babarmahal, Nepal
Where it all started. Came in as an intern, left as a frontend developer. This is where I learned that good design means nothing if you can't build it.
